TOWN OF COON PUBLIC MEETING
Public hearing was held at the Coon Town Hall on January 9, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. on the request by Eric Lee to rezone from agriculture land of 28.6 acres to residential land. The zoning committee had made recommendation that the land be rezoned.
No objections to this rezoning and public hearing was closed.

MINUTES OF TOWN OF COON BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
January 9, 2007
The regular monthly meeting of the Town of Coon Board of Supervisors was held at the Coon Town Hall on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 1:00 p.m.
Call to order by chairman, Orlan Bakkum
Present: Orlan Bakkum, chairman; Craig Storm and Leon Minor, supervisors; Lorraine Bakkestuen, clerk; Dale Haugrud, patrolman and Marc Peterson, patrolman`s helper. Treasurer, Jan L Ihle was late for the meeting.
Moved by Craig, seconded by Leon to rezone Eric Lee property of 28.6 acres of agriculture land to residential land. All aye. Motion carried.
Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to approve the minutes of the previous regular Town of Coon meeting. All aye. Motion carried.
Clerk to send Troy Morey a bill of $60.00 for new fire sign
Sand & salt report: 50 yards less than last month.
No fire calls received.
Smart Growth: Committee to send copies of Comprehensive Plan to all those whose land abuts township and to the Kraemer Co. The committee should hold a public hearing on the Comprehensive Plan. Any change in Comprehensive Plan would require a change in the Town of Coon Zoning Ordinance.
A date would be set to have Danielle Oftedahl from Vernon County Land & Water Conservation Department at a meeting.
Sand and salt structure: A Special Meeting would be held following the annual Town of Coon meeting to go over bids on sand and salt structure.
The Town of Coon Caucus will be held on January 20, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. and if weather does not permit, it will be held on January 27, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.
The drop off for stray dogs was changed to the Virouqa Veterinary Center.
