MINUTES OF TOWN OF COON BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING

AUGUST 8, 2006


The Town of Coon Board of Supervisors met at the Coon Town Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2006 .


Present: Orlan Bakkum, chairman; Craig Storm and Leon Minor, supervisors; Jan L Ihle, treasurer; Lorraine Bakkestuen, clerk and Dale Haugrud, patrolman.


Chairman, Orlan Bakkum called the meeting to order.


Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to approve the minutes as typewritten by the Clerk, Lorraine Bakkestuen. All aye. Motion carried.

                           July NOW account....................99.17

                           July expenses............................................. 11.578.51

Moved by Craig, seconded by Leon to accept the treasurer report. All aye. Motion carried.


A discussion was held on the disposition of the Chaseburg School. Could be used as a community center and used by the fire association.


Rick Schermerhorn had been issued a fire number: E5666 County Rd P, Westby, WI 54667.


Nothing had been done about SMART GROWTH


Town of Coon Zoning: Walter Griffen had issued his resignation as chairman of the Zoning Committee due to health reasons. Discussion had been held on a replacement for Mr. Griffen.


Craig Storm would fill in for Walt Griffen temporarily and would set up a public hearing on Eric Lee`s request for rezoning of property.


Dan Nilles plans to sell 80 acres on which his improvements stand and retain 60 acres of property. He will need a new access to road.


A discussion was held on the widening of one voting booth with a lowered table.


Training on the new handicapped voting machine set for August 23, 2006 at the WWTC in Viroqua.


The next regular Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting set for September 12, 2006 at 7:30 p.m at the Coon Town Hall.


Moved by Craig, seconded by Leon to adjourn the meeting. All aye. Motion carried.
