MINUTES OF TOWN OF COON BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
MARCH 10,2009
Town of Coon Board of Supervisors met at the Coon Town Hall on March, 10, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.
Present: Orlan Bakkum, chairman; Craig Storm and Leon Minor, supervisors; Janice L Ihle, treasurer; Lorraine Bakkestuen, clerk; Dale Haugrud, patrolman and Troy Morey.
Motion made by Craig, seconded by Leon to approve the printed minutes with the correction made on number of tons of sand and salt from 50 tons to 150 tons. All aye. Motion carried.

Motion to accept treasurer`s report made by Leon, seconded by Craig. All aye. Motion carried.
Sand and salt report: 150 yards taken out.
No new fire calls reported
No building permits issued.
Orlan reported that Chris Olson had been at the fire associaion meeting. A discussion was held on fire station needs. No fees would be charged until Chris meets with the village board.
Prelininary estimates of the size of new structure would be 42 feet by 60 feet or less. Doors would be built on both ends. Orlan had taken pictures of present structure and parking area.
Smart Growth: Leon had typed up more specifics to the comprehensive plan and gave to Orlan.
A variance would be required to build on Randy Letterly property.
Orlan, Leon and Jan had been to the Towns Association District meeting .
The only sealcoating bid was received from Scott Construction. Craig felt that some didn`t need resealing due to less usage of these roads. Scott Construction bills according to what material is used and labor.
Motion made by Craig to turn down the bid and request bid for 6 miles less than the 9 miles requested in the first specifications presented. No second received. Orlan made the motion to accept Scott Construction bid and have one of the supervisors go with representative from Scott Construction and measure roads prior to resealing and to keept within budgeted amount for resealing. Seconded by Craig. All aye. Motion carried.
The next regular Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting to be held on April 14 at 1:00 p.m. at the Coon Town Hall.
Annual meeting will be held at the Coon Town Hall on April 9, 2009 at 7:30 p.m.
Election will be held on April 7, 2009 at the Coon Town Hall. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Spring cleanup days are set for May 1 & 2, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Moved by Craig, seconded by Leon to adjourn the meeting. All aye. Motion carried.
