MINUTES OF TOWN OF COON BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
FEBRUARY 14, 2008
The Town of Coon Board of Supervisors met at the Coon Town Hall on February 14, 2008 at 1:00 p.m.
Present: Orlan Bakkum, chairman; Craig Storm and Leon Minor, supervisors; Janice L Ihle, treasurer; Lorraine Bakkestuen, clerk and Dale Haugrud, patrolman.
Motion made by Leon, seconded by Craig to approve the minutes of previous regular Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting . All aye. Motion carried.
Treasurer`s report: Town of Coon Balance 12/31/07 113,253.83
January income...............................................703,071.42
Income to date.................................................816,325.25
January expenses.............................................351,833.87
Balance in checking 1/31/08............................464,491.38
Sand and salt structure loan papers were taken care of. Remaining funds of $12,776.96 of the $145.000.00 loan from Fortress Bank were credited to Town of Coon account. Interest on other funds credited were paid.
Three hundred yards of sand and salt had been used as reported by Dale Haugrud.
Fire calls made: M. Hill and Nancy Hoff.
Orlan reported that the Fire Association was working on a plan to build two extra bays on present fire station building.
Removal of the rental house had been done except for smoothing out land when weather permits.
Reservations for Orlan Bakkum, Leon Minor, Jan L Ihle and Lorraine Bakkestuen had been made for the District Towns Association meeting to be held at the Raddsion in LaCrosse to be held April 5, 2008. A Board of Review training session would be held at this meeting.
Orlan had set up a six year plan for the resealing of Town of Coon roads beginning in 2008.Approximately 9 miles to be resealed each year.
Request for bids on resealing of Town of Coon roads to be published. Bids to be received by March 8, 2008. Bids would be opened on March 11, 208 at the regular Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting.
Three new cell phones had been ordered Three dollars more a month would be added to U.S. Cellalar bill.
Moved by Orlan, seconded by Craig to adjourn the meeting. All aye. Motion carried.
