TOWN OF COON BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING
AUGUST 14, 2007
The Town of Coon Board of Supervisors met at the Coon Town Hall on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 7:30 p.m.
Present: Orlan Bakkum, chairman; Craig Storm and Leon Minor, supervisors; Jan L Ihle, treasurer, Lorraine Bakkestuen, clerk and Dale Haugrud, patrolman.
Chairman, Orlan Bakkum opened the meeting.
Motion to approve the previous board of supervisors meeting made by Craig, seconded by Leon. All aye. Motion carried.

Motion to accept the treasurer`s report made by Leon, seconded by Craig . All aye. Motion carried.
Clerk to pay Mike McQuin, Gary Stendalen, Charles Schmidt and Larry Strangstalien for zoning committee meeting.
Motion to pay all claims except Scott Construction bill made by Leon, seconded by Craig. All aye. Motion carried.
The sand and salt report remains the same.
Fire Association had met with the Village of Coon Valley planning committee. They would like to stay in the present building-straight rent and no maintenance. They are looking at the needs which include 2 bays and possible 2-car garage.
No further results on Smart Growth plan.
A wind tower meeting is scheduled for Wednesday evening.
A letter from Attorney, Thomas R. Fortney on the property line dispute between Rudie and Jeffers would be sent to Pam Padesky.
Leon Minor had attended the Towns Association meeting held on July 26, 2007. Maintenance each year of $500 to Command Central and every election set-up would cost $100 for each machine. Machines should be set up and run once per month.
The next regular Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting was set for September 11, 2007 at 7:45 p.m. A Pulic Hearing on the rezoning of 2 acres of land owned by Gary Stendalen was set for September 11, 2007 at 7:30 p.m.
A review of Town of Coon insurance coverage will be conducted on September 11, 2007 at the regular Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting by Rural Insurance. The sand and salt shed would be insured for $115,000.
Motion made by Leon, seconded by Craig to resolve to adopt the National Incident Management System (NIMS). All aye. Motion carried.
Motion to adjourn the meeting by Craig, seconded by Leon. All aye. Motion carried.
